Watchlist & Tickers Guide
Pulse is the quick-glance alternative to the single-ticker dashboard: every ticker in your basket, one row each, at once.
Reading a row
- Last Close and Day Change — the latest close vs. the prior day's, colored green/red/grey for up, down, or flat.
- 30D — a small sparkline of the last 30 daily closes, so you can see the recent trend shape without opening the full chart.
- As Of — the timestamp of the close being shown.
Adding a ticker
Use Edit Tickers on the main dashboard to add or remove symbols from your basket — that same basket is what Pulse's watchlist shows.
Typing in a ticker that's brand new to the system
(a fresh IPO, or a digital coin like ETH-USD) doesn't
just fail. It's checked against real market data first — if it's a
real, currently-tradable symbol we simply haven't collected yet,
you'll see "New ticker queued for collection — check back
tomorrow" and it's added to your basket right away, ready the
moment its data lands. If it's not a real symbol at all, you'll get
a plain "ticker not found" instead, so a typo doesn't quietly do
nothing. While a queued ticker is still being collected, its
dashboard shows an honest "still collecting data" notice rather
than a chart with no real data behind it.
